Default 🍷 - Is this a sign of a dodgy font file?

When opening a font file, on the top of the file is the title bar with the name of the font:- Caligo Poster Italic (True Type). Occasionally I notice that there is a unicode character in front of the font name for instance ".🍷 (Open Type)" Anyone know what this signifies? Bob.

Open in what, Bob? A font editor? If so, which one?

There could be a corruption in the names section, or simply the font author used a character not allowed and it is displayed using a symbol. I've seen both. If you are opening the font in a font editor, check all the sections for naming to find it.

Time for a glass of fine red wine. A Melot or maybe a Cabernet.

I was looking at fonts using just the Windows Font Viewer and the 🍷 appeared at the very top of the window. [line spacing] Bob.@Gary ~ Rioja is my weapon of choice. It is very difficult to buy any non-Spanish wine in Spain, it's as rare as hens teeth.
