I am new to Flash. What's the best way to learn Flash 5.0?

I do have Flash 5. on-hand with the books that came with it, but I'm sure there are better sources out there.

Go through the tutorials that come with Flash and figure out how those are done. That's a pretty good start if you can understand all that. Also keep in mind that there are forums like this available to you on the Internet. This forum (talk graphics) is a great source of information. You can slways search theMacromedia web site and get information from there as well.

    Good luck,

The manuals that come with the software aren't that good. Me too I'm new to Flash, and I bought a book called FOUNDATION FLASH 5 by Sham Bangal, and published by Friends of ED (ISDN 1-903450-31-4). It gives a sound foundation as every detail is explained.

Another good book seem to be: FLASH 5 from SCRATCH, published by Que (0789724618).

Of course, the best book is the one you work through from beginning to the end...
