    Default downloadable files from site

    hello again:

thanks to all the help I have received here I have managed to create a couple of sites that I'm happy with.

I have several links to pdf files which work as expected. When I click on The link it opens the file, but what I really would like to do is just have it download the file instead without opening the file. Is this possible?

    thanks in advance!

You can add the PDF to a ZIP file and link to the ZIP file.

It is dependant on your personal browser setting I think. I have mine set to download pdf's. Others may have it set to 'View in Browser'. And there's the problem. It's the visitors option set-up that seems what determines what happens.

EDIT: James solution would seem the way forward
