whois protection in xara

im am making a personal website for myself(no previous or anythins) and i opted the free 12months domain name and during registeration i gave my number and mail and after that i started reciving spam sms and emails like we have web hosting services,free first website,buy domains for cheap , everything related to websites, then i came to know that everything is registered to whois database.so is there is any possible way to change the contact details there? or i need to delete that account and make a new one.

please help me.

I don't think Xara/Magix offers whois privacy/protection. They should. But I could not find anything on their support site.

You might have to move your account to a web host that does offer whois privacy.
