Publishing Errors for FTP & Explicit FTPS

Hi, Please could someone assist. I am trying to upload a one pager, with FTP & Explicit FTPS port 21....... and I keep on getting a time out error ..... when I upload with normal ftp and I route to the website, it brings up the "index of" screen and my page is lying in the fttps folder...... please help

I think you are using the wrong port. In CuteFTP I use port 21098. I also seem to remember in Xara having to add the port at the end of the URL.

Acorn or Egg if you guys know the correct port in Xara can you jump in here?

Thank you gwpriester, the ISP has given me the port 21 to use, which I believe is the standard port Xara uses, when I log into the ftp directly from Chrome, the files are there though.? I have tried uploading with Filezilla as well.

Yep, you're right.

I only use this for my own website since I have a web hosting account and can only use ftps for my main account.

Have you specified Port 21 as shown in this screen shot?

Hi gw, yes I have, I have tried it with I have tried it without.... I am stumped.... all I can think is that the website is not routing correctly from the ISP's side, can I maybe pm you with the details I was given? I normally use my own host but this client had already had a domain......
