Hi

Norton Security are blocking my website stating security issues listing items I do not have on the site eg PDF's. It has been verfierd with Google Analytics as safe. It is published from Xara Hosting so what is going on?

I fixed your link, you had a comma instead of a period before hosting.

Some security programs can be overly aggressive (Norton Security for example). I had no issues with the site.

Let's see if anybody else has any problems.

When trying to verify my site with Norton Security the above message appears. So the problem is xara hosting, not my site? Did you know this?

imagine there is a site called myhometownchurch.xara.hosting which contains porn and sql injection scripts
the domain xara.hosting is penalised because myhometownchurch, one of its sub-domains, is dodgy
this then gives anything.xara.hosting a bad rep and can take ages to resolve
it's indirectly xara's fault for not screening the content they host
tbh most free hosts should but don't because it is time-intensive, they tend to rely on people reporting dodgy sites
but once the damage is done it's done and can take ages to restore

you'd be better off getting your own domain & hosting which

• is not expensive
• looks 1483% more professional than mywebsite.xara.hosting
• leaves you in control of what is and what is not published on it

You don't own http://rareharedesign.xara.hosting/ and so can't buy it.
You search for a name www.rareharedesign..net .com .whatever and buy the domain that you want.

You then publish to that and no taint from xara.hosting will follow.

Just updating on the above problem. Xara do have an issue with Norton and they are currently trying to get the warnings lifted.
