Hi Jens---

I feel it's my duty as moderator to point out that the spinning cactus is just doodling around, and is not "good" animation, because it has no plot.

It's darned easy to make stuff spin. I do not encourage this sort of stuff if you're looking for work, because guess what? PIXAR, Dreamworks, Disney, and other CG places (I hear SONY is laying off...they didn't put all their heart into the new animation division) already have 12 people who can make objects spin with no effort whatsoever.

So there's a difference between "interesting" and Art.
