How i import or open extern Files to Xara?

Welcome to TG ptpfyl.

As Scotty says you can import bitmaps as textures. Go to Textures Options, select the asset you wish to add the texture to, tick the texture check box, then Load Texture button. (Note: Text sides doesn't load the texture to the sides as you'd expect) This opens the import window, which can import various bitmap files.

Or you can go to File / Import & import either .xar/.web files (native Xara files) or Windows Metafiles (.emf, .wmf)

Another Question: Can i change the Background with a Texture or some one else or can i just change the color?

EDIT: I have it now i must change the Texture with the Option Background cool...:-).

Can i animate the Background? Or is it not possible to move the Background?

How can i import extern Text or extern Symbols to edit this in xara as text?

I mean for example an Apple Logo or something when it's possible...

You can import external text by copying iy from the source and paste it into Xara. You can do the same for images.

Else you can save the source and import it using File/Import.

Ok copy and past with the Edit Option works, thanks.
But when i copy a symbol comes a square in Xara.
Is there a Option to expand the Fonts?
If the character is not contained in Xara, only a quadrangle comes out...

That's because they are bitmap's , not vector shapes.
