nivo slider slider rpoblems

Hi All,
This is the first time that I have been here so I sorry if my question is fundamental. I have created a web page that has text and a banner that is to appear on top of any sliding pictures, unfortunately it starts of ok but when the second picture is slid into position the banner and all of the text is not there, however I have noticed that just before the second picture slid into position the banner and the text appear on the previous photo but by the time the second/third picture are slid into position it has gone. I have tried various methods to try and solve this problem without any success. Some of the things I have tried have been making the text and the banner a group and also tried having the sliding pictures at the back of the current page no luck.
I have run out of ideas so I'm hoping either somebody has a similar problem or somebody can point me in the right direction.

I'm using xara web designer premium 365

Peter, it's not you it's Xara. A poor bit of coding has the Nivo slider always shouting "Me, me!"
Select the slider and give it a Name of nivo.

Then in Web Properties > Page > HTML code (head), add this CSS that puts the slider in its place:

Thanks for your reply, I have one question and that is where do I name the slider. I have gone intp the pages & layer gallery and renamed the html placeholder and then put the supplied code into the web properties of this named page but it didn't seem to work. So I think I must have done something wrong can you please help.
