Default LINK ISSUE WITH "NEW" CYCLE 2 WIDGET

    Hi-

Using the latest version of DPX 12?

Anyway, tried out the new "Cycle 2" gallery widget
and found that I can't eliminate the LINKs on any image
    by conventional means.

Whereas, I clicked on the "edit" tab, went to links and applied
"Do Nothing" on each graphic on the widget edit page but to
no avail. Obviously in the code it insists on having a link.

Maybe there's something I could put on the head in the
placeholder to void that from happening?

I like the widget for my purposes but can't have
any links that people may accidently click.

    Any thoughts much appreciated!

    Thanks, Bob

    Bob, for each image you can add a Link to web or email of javascript:void();

The default # means that anyone clicking on the image will still stay on the same page.

Usually people ask how to add links to the text so this makes a change.

    Thanks Acorn!

THAT did the trick and I thank you!
Is there by any chance one more little
snippet of code that would stop the cursor from
changing to a finger pointing? Know what I mean?

Info Re: LINK ISSUE WITH "NEW" CYCLE 2 WIDGET

Bob, i found coding away the hand pointer to "cursor:default;" in CSS to be too tricky for a Sunday.

Here is a Xara-only solution for both asks:
    • Place a rectangle with a rounded box cut-out for the image indexer over your widget.
    • Set its Transparency to 100%.

No links are exposed so the viewer cannot see a link or visit it.

    That'll work.
Thanks for taking the time Acorn.
    Have a nice day.
