Xara Web Designer for emails?

Would it take an enormous amount of work to be able to create email newsletters etc using Xara?

I get there are subtle differences in the HTML file, and that different mail clients render HTML differently, but can this be done?

I'm currently using MailStyler, which is supposed to be the 'Rolls Royce' of email HTML editors, but I find it to be quite clunky and buggy.

With a gentle push, surely Xara could do the job?

No. It's what a load of people want Xara to do, but it's totally impracticable.

Why is is impracticable? We have seen Xara Web Designer evolve into a DTP/Publisher, why not an email designer?

Surely an email design is a narrow HTML page with a slightly different header, with images published to a website..?

Ian, the ability of email software to render HTML is different to that of full-blown browsers, so the existing Xara HTML output won't work across all email clients.

This has been debated so many times and the ebd result is always the same; it cannot be done in xara. The best option is mailchimp
