It's just ridiculous what Xara/Magix are doing to confuse people.

Product choices should be clear and unambiguous.

    It's a total mess.

It's not your fault DD and Harley.

Paul, I don't think this is being done to fool people. I think the 365 concept was rolled out before Xara and Magix were both totally agreed on all aspects. Help > About Designer Pro X will show that it is a 12 version product.

Xara are still referring to Designer Pro X365 on their website http://www.xara.com/us/designer-pro/ but the actual product itself shows Xara Designer Pro X in the title bar at the top left. It is not a pretty picture.

I agree, intentional or not it's confusing the heck out of people.

It's marketing 101 to have clearly identifiable products.

Designer Pro X (without any other number) was the rather confusing name for version 8. If there is a new version out there with this on the cover, then I think something went wrong somewhere.

To add to the fun I note that the xara website shows products:
    Web Designer 365
    Photo & Graphic Designer 365
    Designer Pro X365 ( n.b. no space )

So there must a product called Designer Pro that is not 365 its a special X365 !

    Just stirring.

    If I was the O.P.
I'd buy the xara designer pro version instead of the magix version , that one seems a bit more pricy.

hear hear - it's what we called in essex a total 'mare or a pig's ear or any other humorous euphemism to describe a marketing department staffed by meerkats on crack

indeed - for that to be true you'd have to add intelligence to the mix
