How do I insert a horizontal menu bar on a blank page please?

Depends on which Xara product you are using. Since your profile lists Xara Web Design it's kind of hard to know. So, which version are you using and please update your profile to reflect this. Thanks

I don't think the content in the Online Content Catalog is available until you pay. But all the tools and features are functional and I think you can also publish a page or site with the trial version.

Using the Online Content Catalog, locate the content you are looking for (this can be searched in the catalog) select the content and click Import and the content is loaded onto the page and also placed in the Local Designs Gallery on the right where you can access the content even if you are not online. To edit a navigation bar, just double click on the bar which opens the Navigation Bar Properties menu.
