Whoops! Correct Acorn.

Create a text box within the text tool & drag out a rectangle. The different text types in xara can be difficult to grasp.

With the Text Tool:
1: you can just click on the page and start typing
2: you can click on the page and drag horizontally and start typing
3: you can click on the page and drag right & down and start typing

It was the blue stretch button. I followed this video but it didn't work for me me. My shape kept on forming to the button instead of the button forming to the shape.
