    The server admins have been notified.

    Not sure a larger server will do it. (But it might not hurt.)

    They are playing whack-a-mole with an intermittent problem - the toughest kind of problem to solve. They have fixed and adjusted a number of things on the sever -- freeing up disk space, reducing competing services and scripts that run on the server. Everything works fine for a few days -- everyone breaths a sigh of relief --and then the problem crops up again.

    It is annoying and exhausting and patience testing for us all, server admins included, but even thought it may not seem like it, they really are trying to fix this.
