Colouring Text Background

If you try to colour the background of text using the colour editor you can't see the effect on the text until you deselect it. If possible would be nice if the text highlight effect could be hidden while changing the background colour.

Hmm using the select tool on the text works better for previewing the colour change. Don't know why I didn't think of that, guess I was busy typing and it just seemed natural to try and do it from the text tool.
