    Default Where is everything?

    Hi,

Was half way through a web site, when decided to upgrade to Designer Pro 365 for additional features. WHERE IS MY STUFF? Seriously, guys, where is my stuff that used to be in the Designs Gallery online? A lot of the stuff included with DPX11 seems missing now. What am I missing? Where should I go? What is the archive? Where is it? I have a deadline.

Urgent, if you would be so kind. Missing my nav bars and everything else.

Also I am pretty sure I saw something about downloading a lot of content . Yes I am very concerned about this new system and ESPECIALLY NOW I CAN@T FIND ANYTHING want to download as much as possible. All clues very gratefully received.

BTW Xara. You know I love you, but WTF? COuld you have made the new licensing any more complicated? I realise you probably feel a bit ashamed because you were pretty scathing about Adobe's model. But this is just confusing.

    No. I don't like change. I'm old.

Probably not as old as some of us.

What you are looking for is now in the Online Content Catalog (Insert > Online Content Catalog)

Once you have imported something, it will also be added to the Local Designs Gallery.

Not really, Gary. Where are all the vertical navbars, for example? They were there in 11. How do I bulk import from 11 - will need to at this rate? New versions shouldn't have LESS content than old, surely?

Also, unless I am mistaken, I can no longer do the handy short way of making text nav bars, which is to group a piece of text to itself and create a navbar.

God, I hate reading instructions. WIll I have to read instructions to find out what has gone missing now? So frustrating.

Dear everyone. How can I get content from 11 that is missing from 365? Is there any quick bulk way or will I have to bring everything over bit by bit?

Any nav bar can be either horizontal or vertical. Double click on any nav bar and select the orientation.

The new Online Content Catalog has a search function so try that for finding the missing content.

Thanks Gary, but I think stuff is missing. Can't search for something not there. Would love clarification as to whether Xara has actually permanently removed content this time around or whether it's somewhere I haven't yet found. Compare the online content managers and you'll see what I mean.

Hmmmm... Maybe keep working on this website in version 11 for the time being.

At least till you have sorted it all out. Is what I would do if time is of the essence.

The navbars in 12 are in the online catolgue / components / navbars. They are all horizontal but as Gary states it's a click of a radio button to convert to a vertical bar.

Also, unless I am mistaken, I can no longer do the handy short way of making text nav bars, which is to group a piece of text to itself and create a navbar.
    Nothing has changed re this.

It would assist if you told us the name of the missing component.

In the Local Design Gallery, right click over a folder & select download all content.

In the Local designs gallery you will see folders for first look, components etc these mirror the folders in the content catalogue (except for the stock images and stock illustrations folders for those with DP) When you download something from the content catalogue this is where your downloads get stored. As has been mentioned you can right click on the folders and download all this will do a bulk download of all the content in that folder in the CC. Some of the template folders and particularly the websites will take some time.

The beauty of this is that once downloaded all this content is on your hard drive and you no longer need an internet connection to access it
