How can I un-tick "show outline" permanently

Help needed!

I am using the Magic Erase/Clone Tool, made the correction, then think the result should be a tad bigger, so Ctrl+F2 for the Selector Tool>click on the correction, pull out the nodes to resize.
But .. the Show Outline appears around the correction, I don't want it there, it obscures what I am trying to do.
Not seen that in previous versions. Previously just the nodes appeared and I could resize
How do I un-tick it, disable it, or bin it?
Have read through the Help files, but am none the wiser.
This is driving me nuts and I am now tempted to revert to Designer 11.

Try this:
After moving your cloned shape Ctrl+C / Ctrl + Shift + V. Then resize and feather if required.
Does that do what you require?

That's different to what I have been using for years, but yes, it would do the trick.

there is a show/hide outlines button on the magnetic lasso infobar [ctrl+H]- that may help?

Thanks Handdrawn, it doesn't un-tick the 'marching ants' when I try to adjust the selection.

I have tried to add that button to my custom toolbar, but it isn't listed.
