    Default Cardboard Box

I watched a tutorial on making a cardboard box using Coreldraw. I thought I would try it so I found an image of a box and tried to replicate it. The original is on the left and my box on the right.

    Nicely done.
However, the box looks too sharp, if you know what I mean?

I hope you don't mind, I've taken your picture, and added a bit of 'Gaussian blur'.
A Live Effect that's available in Xara Designer Pro.
And adding a bit of shadow at the bottom of the box will also help.

Makes the box look a bit more natural.
I hope you can see that in the image I've attached.

Thank's Rik, it looks a bit more realistic. I tried a floor drop shadow but it didn't look right and I wanted to add a little texture to the box but everything I tried looked heavy handed if you know what I mean. I'll make those changes to the original drawing. Again. thanks for your input.

Rik, I thought you had to "Make a Bitmap Copy" before you could use any live effects. I learn something new every day. I used a radius of 8 and it looked better. As for the shadow, I finally had to draw it by hand, send it to the back give it a light gray color then feathered it. I adjusted it's position with the shape tool. after viewing it here it looks like I may have added too much Gaussian Blur.
