P&LD10 Error code: -59

P&LD10 crashed saving a file...
Restart - get the above error code.
Uninstall P&LD10, reinstall it. Install completes and then the same error code pops up.
Uninstall again, restart computer, reinstall, restart computer - same thing happens.
Went to the program folder and tried running as admin - same error.
Any ideas?

My Designer Pro 11 got corrupted and I get the same error code.

Have not been able to install it since.

This is the answer I got from support about the error code:

Hi,

The error message basically translates to something like: Protein has no / incomplete / wrong initialized values found application.ini in - that happens when the / register call (= install) is not gone through, which was application.ini changed by another program or since / register call the hardware and / or the program configuration has been modified substantially.

This essentially means something is changing the or preventing correct changes this configuration file. Most likely culprits are anti-virus or other security programs but so far we haven't been able to identify the main cause. You could try re-installing with everything disabled, or under a clean boot (see below).

So you tried a clean reboot and it still wouldn't install?

another thing you could try is uninstalling and reinstalling both in admin mode

doing it in an administrator account and/or taking the UAC down to minimum level - also as mentioned disable all the AV/security and if that includes firewall disconnect from web first, and do all this before you uninstall

I would tend to agree this is something blocking action, not only in the install, but the uninstall to0; registry entries maybe, as well as the config...

Just had a computer repair guy around - no go.
Downloaded and installed P&LD11 - perfect.

To tell you the truth I have not letsgofishing.

I was in a time crunch with a project and did manage to get DPX10 installed and used that instead.

Kinda forgot about my issues with DPX11 until I saw your post about error 59.

Will have to give it a try later today and let you know.

I tried the clean boot as mentioned above... But still no luck.

Guess I'll have to wait for the 365 version next month and hopefully have better luck then.
