Roly, the example should work already with an image.
Could you please check the attached example and report what exactly is not working as expected?
I checked with Firefox, IE11, Chrome and Opera.

Acorn, I have fixed the scrollbar issue in the example with the image. The pasteboard fix might take a while. Give me a hint if you know what is wrong...

Hi Siran, exactly what I was looking for.

    Thank you very much

Acorn, I can not get widgets working on the pasteboard layer. I will need your help for that. They are just not initialized it seems. Images work.
Could you please check the examples? When the widget is moved to the pasteboard layer it stops working. It is sticky on the page background layer anyway...

siran, big, big apology - I said Pasteboard but I meant the Page (background). What you've produced for the stretch_widget_pasteboard.xar solution is spot on and I appreciate your efforts.

Siran, late in on this one. The stretch_widget_pasteboard.xar works fine but it's not selectable to edit. But moving it to the page background allows it still to work and keep the widget editable and appears to work as required. Nice solution.

My xar based on your work.

Put both variants together. It even plays a video (very low quality to reduce file size).
Instructions from post 11 are still valid, except that you have to apply the name "htmlclass=xw_stretch_stick" in case you want to make it stickie.
Please report if you have issues with the file.
    See result here: Stretch video
Acorn, you are welcome. (Not sure if that is said correctly in this case.)
    Egg, nice slideshow.
    Are there still issues?
Edit: The way the video is included requires the placeholder to match the dimensions of the video file. Also the video has to be uploaded somehow. In this case it is attached to the placeholder using CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + A. The video file is mp4 encoded with h.264 and without audio. Tested to play in IE9, IE11, and current versions of FireFox, Chrome and Opera.
