What can't you open? If you haven't managed to download Ben's XAR file what have you been trying to drag and drop.

YOu have to click on Ben's link above.
The file will appear in your browser download area, dependent on your browser and its settings so I can't help with that.
You then double-click on the downloaded file from Windows Explorer or if the file download shows in a status line in your browser, a single click.

Assuming you have Xara Premium, it should try to load it.
If not, open Premium to your design file and drag Ben's .XAR file from Windows Explorer directly onto your open page.

If that doesn't work, drag it onto the Xara control bar at the top.

If that doesn't work, use File > Open and select Ben's .XAR file.

When one of these works, do what I advised perviously.

    Bindi,

If I merely select the calculator, it won't paste into the new document.

Try this. It worked for me.

    - Use your cursor to lasso the calculator on the .xar file
    - Minimize that file
    - Restore your working site to the workspace
    - Now, Paste (and you should see "Paste Object") into your document.
    - Results: Should now be in your working document

Worked twice for me. Other way would not work.

Hi James, it did not calculate when I first tried it, then I move it from the page background layer to the mouse off layer and all was good.

    Thanks

Hi Roly, that's strange, on my copy the placeholder is on the MouseOver layer. Although I did notice that I hadn't locked the Page background.
