    Default Outline letters

Did a search but didn't find anything - would like white letters with black outline. The time consuming way is to do each letter individually, copy, change color, make slightly larger, drop on top of original letter, move back and adjust.

There has to be an easier way. - tks

Edit - found to use shadow tool, not exactly what I wanted but works.

IN XWD 10, Highlight the text, go down to the color palette, right click on white and select "Line Color". Sure it is similar in other versions.

Not sure how to change the weight of the line, but that should get you started.

EDIT: Once you have your text outlined, you will need to rightclick on the text and choose "Create Bitmap Copy". (forgot to mention this step, sorry)

Select the text - On the colour line click on WHITE and select FILL COLOUR and then click on BLACK and select LINE COLOUR. The line weight is adjustable on the main toolbar with the SET LINE WIDTH dropdown.

There's no need to select BITMAP COPY.

Just like any shape... You can add an outline to text.

When the text is selected above the work area you can choose the thickness of the outline.

Right clicking on a color you can set the line color as mentioned.

Looks like someone beat me to it!

Adding an outline to text distorts the original design of the type because half of the outline is going inside the character and half is going outside.

I prefer adding a wider outline to the text, then cloning the text and applying a fill and setting the outline to none. This preserves the design of the text while adding an outline.

Thanks, I'm pretty new here myself so I learned something.
