I saw this news item and while I saw the outpost designs before, I always thought they were a futuristic proposal rather than really existing.

The images here could be from some futuristic film, probably before some natural disaster. It amazes me that this outpost was ever built with such a clever futuristic design.

Well, it fascinated me anyway, and the crack in the ice would be the envy of special effects people everywhere.

I was amazed by the design of the Antartic outpost and the massive crack in the ice that threatens it.

Very interesting how they've endevoured to make them future proof. I must sat the accomodation modules remind me of Bananas in Pyjamas. God knows why?
