One of - in all versions so far! - this program's always-infuriating sides is it's inability to RETAIN our customized Toolbars and workspace. With EACH new version, we must recreate these. Surely, as Xara now are in a position to release updates on a weekly basis, this should be fixed? It takes me ten minutes to set up the workspace the way I want it - a stupid waste of my time! How hard can it be for the app to read and retain these particular Registry settings of the previous install????

    Hello

It is annoying. A way round is to open REGEDIT and find the XARA parts of the Registry.
    HKEY_ CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\XaraX.
Export this key as a XaraX.reg.
It can be merged into any new setup.

There is a second key in LOCAL_MACHINE, but this does not have a lot of information.
Export it as well and save the two files.

. . . about that way, and I even did it for the new version! Didn't work, got only the dumb defaults.

I agree with Klaus. I have a reg key set up for re-installs of Xara2, but I only installed XaraX yesterday. I've had this stupid problem with the Zoom drop list causing an error so, in haste, I re-installed XaraX and gawdamnit my 20 minutes work setting up my toolbars has all been lost!!! (but it did fix the zoom problem - which shouldn't have been there in the first place)

This is a stupid throwback that should have been addressed in Xara Webster on which I was a beta tester all those years ago.

I now have absolutely no option but to spend another 20 mintes setting up my toolbars which have been virtually the same as my first beta install of Webster.

Come on guys... let's have an upgrade that fixes this
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
They're going to kill me anyway and I'd love to die the way I lived:
