Can a sticky object begin further down a page, like an arrow that brings you from the mid point or bottom of a page back to the top?
If so, any special instructions?

Sue, a sticky object is made sticky and stays where you put it relative to its distance form the bottom or top of the page dependent on its design page position above or below the mid-point.
One place, you simply give it a link of Link to: <Top of page>.
