    Question Xara 365 Premium

    Hi Guys & Gals,

My first post and still a bit of a n00b when it comes to the Xara software but I am working hard to get there honestly.

My question is, how do you create a burger style menu for mobile devices, I can turn a full site navigation bar into a single button menu for mobiles but I want the 3 lined burger menu instead and although I can copy one from other templates, I'd like to be able to create my own but on drawing some quick shapes and grouping them together, a right click doesn't show the option of creating a navigation element.

Can somebody give me a nice easy tutorial on how to achieve this for my next project.

    Many thanks in advance

    Welcome to TalkGraphic

Draw a small rectangle. Make two duplicate copies. Align and group. That's your burger.

I do the menu this way. Create a new layer in the Page and Layer Gallery. Name the new layer Menu.

Add buttons (largish rectangles with largish type) on this Menu layer. Link the buttons to the appropriate pages (click the link icon on the top of the screen)

Select all the buttons on the Menu layer and then select Repeat on All Pages. Return to the MouseOff layer.

Place the burger bars where you want them to appear and then link the burgers to the Menu layer (again click the link icon and select Link to Pop-up Layer).

Select the menu burger and Repeat on all Pages.

I'll post a WEB file in a few minutes so you can look at the document to see how this is done.

    OK here you go.

Open the file then click the icon to Preview Whole Website.

One thing I need to add. I had to right click the Menu layer on the first page in the Page & Layer Gallery and select Copy Menu Layer.

Then go to each page, right click in the Layers and and select Paste Menu Layer.
