You'll never get a definite answer without the code, the browser type and version.
There could be any number of reasons around CSS, browser rendering, JavaScript values overriding widths or just straight browser incompatibilities.

Adding three (basic) <iframe> code into Placeholders is what I would check first as one might be shouting louder than the others.
