    Default Toledo Regular Font

It seems to be pretty much agreed that Comic Sans is the pariah of the World of Fonts.
But is there a casual font with that certain je ne sais quoi?

I'd like to nominate Toledo Regular, which to my eye has a stylish quality, is easy to read
and best of all is free.

Attached is a Sticky Note, captured in it's natural habitat on my desktop.

Anybody else have a particular favourite casual font?
    Bob.

It reminds me also of my handwriting but mine went to crap after years of using the keyboard, I type everything and rarely compose a handwritten letter and when I do, it looks awful.

    @ Gary:-
    How does that happen?!
I used to have a decent cursive style, but it's degenerated considerably. I now have to print in capital letters or it's just a waste of time.
I wonder if it's because I hardly ever write any more, perhaps we lose the knack.
    Desyrel looks really good, too.

    @ Stygg:-
Just do a google image search: "i hate comic sans" if you want a good laugh.
    Bob.

I like Local Market with a single exception. That is the script is out of place. It is too neat, so well shaped in comparison to the character of the uprights.

...and then there is Nincompoop by Von Glitschka. If you scroll down two thirds of the way through the interview I've linked to, you'll see the font.
But if you scroll through, you'll miss a good interview.

Bob I did a search for "I hate comic sans" on google as you suggested in #5 and I was surprised at the so many reasons why people hate it. After going through lots of comments and even insults about comic sans, I agree with this comment "Comic sans is ok as long as it is kept in the context it was intended for, speech bubbles in comic books" and I don't think I would be pleased with a letter from my solicitor in comic sans and prefer the standard T.N.R letter, or perhaps I'm being snobbish

You're absolutely right, Stygg - it's all a question of the appropriate tone.
I'm fairly relaxed about Comic Sans, but I cannot see myself ever using it - unless it were to prove a point.
