    Default Image filename problem

    Variant site problem
    I have named my pictures eaxmple
    filename=”123”

    Problem when I upload the site the name of the main site file is now
    [not email]123@2x.jpg[/email]

    How can I loose the @2x

    Also is this the best way to keep the image filename filename="123"

    [not email]123@2x.jpg[/email] is for retina devices. You should have both 123.jpg and [not email]123@2x.jpg[/email] in your exported folder

    Naming images as a number is a very poor idea.

    That was just an example
    What I do not like is the way that Xara renames the image with @x2

    A bad example! Never use numbers as names

    What I do not like is the way that Xara renames the image with @x2

    The @2x version is the retina resolution version of the image. The @2x is a standard convention for double-density variants of images.

    You should also have the original.

    If you don't want to include hi res images, the ones with the @x2 title, go to Web Properties / Website / Untick the Retina (hi def) images.

    Were it bad generally, you would be damning Xara's approach.

    ..I think it's a bad idea even if Xara does it.

    It's rare to hear such problems, maybe it's just because of your default settings, which makes your renaming photos that way.
