Default Can separately-created lines be joined or grouped, then filled?

    Hi Forumites,

I design digital art using Photo & Graphic Designer (love it to pieces!). I'll design, say, half a heart, copy, paste, reverse it and put the pieces together. Is there a way to then fill it, or must it be one continuous line with touching ends to be able to fill it?

I know it wasn't before, but wondering if the newest version has that feature.

If unfeasible now, pretty please incorporate that into next version, if at all possible?

    Many thanks,

    Glenoran1

I use XDP, but I would imagine it works the same in your version.

I drag out a ruler guide and align the two end nodes to it.
Then I duplicate the half, flip it vertically and align it to the ruler guide against the other half.

Then I use the Shape Tool to drag one of the nodes a little bit away, then back again and you should see a little 'plus' symbol indicating it is going to join the node being dragged back into position and connect it to the other half's corresponding node.

Then do the other end and it likely will automatically fill.

Thanks so much, Mike! I'll try that immediately.

There is an alternative to Mikes method, which works equally as well, although I favour mikes way mostly

Intel i7 - 4790K Quad Core + 16 GB Ram + NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 Graphics Card + MSI Optix Mag321 Curv monitor
    + Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB SSD + 232 GB SSD + 250 GB SSD portable drive + ISP = BT + Web Hosting = TSO Host

Thanks very much, Egg Bramhill, for taking the time to do the tutorial. It's always great to have alternative methods.

    All the best,
