opening old files on start up

hello,

i am using Xara PGD 6 on Windows7. whenever i start the program, it opens one of my work files along with another, "untitled1 *". i save the untitled document and close out. still, whenever i shut down xara and restart it, i am back to these two files being opened.

any ideas?

You'll probably need to open the options dialog box and uncheck "backup open documents..." (backups tab)

By "close out", do you mean you close "Untitled1" and the other file and then close the application?
If you are not, then both files will always be part of the restart.

"Untitled1" is always created on opening the application.
To prove it rename "Untitled1" to something else, close it, close the application and re-open.
