Thread: A New Font

Here are changes to the K, k, H, S, T, and M. Checked widths and spacing. On measuring the W looks narrower but isn't. It's an optical allusion.

    Getting really nice, Ron.

I would recommend a bit tighter letter spacing by setting either the right side bearing closer to the right side of the characters, or the characters themselves closer to the LSB and then moving the RSB. Not knowing where the characters are sitting between them I don't know really which to recommend. Then, if you have already kernel the font you would need to redo it.

I would also recommend narrowing the space character too.

Actually Mike, the whole idea was to gap out the glyphs.

Post #12 shows how I'm going to use the font to make copying my work more difficult.
Attached is another shot of the font on one of my drawings.

    Thanks

Looking good, Ron. The letters themselves are looking dimensionally good.

    Thanks Gray.
Well, it will suit its purpose, anyway.

The font looks good, and the suggestions made/changes were along the lines of my thoughts as well.

On a technical side, I was wondering what you use to convert it into a font file? Do you export the vectors to another program?

    Thanks hseiken,
I export it as an svg file and import that into Type3 font editor.
