    Default Some experimental stuff

After having lost my job, I now have more time for hobbies.

I was doing some testing with autotracing and specifically turning 3D modelled stuff into vectors. It seems to work pretty well with cartoon style renderings rendered without antialiasing.

Here is example how the cartoon style renders look. I stole most of the chair from one of Garys renderings and added coffee mug just because I drink too much coffee. Now I just need some inspiration and ideas to get started as it seems I have none nowdays.

I get paid for 3 months, so not the end of the world for me and there will be other jobs.

Work in progress Velociraptor or something like that. Still needs more detailing, texturing and good luck to make it not look like rubbish.

No, you're wrong ... It already doesn't look like rubbish!

    Default Love the chairs!

    I love the chairs, theinonen!

They look very sumptuous and striking in shaded wireframe!

    Something I'd want to buy if I weren't 6' 2".

    :)

Finally got around and did part of an old lamborghini modelling tutorial had thought of trying long ago.

Modelling realistic car tire without mapping the grooves always seemed like an impossible task for me and I never would have even thought about an idea of making the grooves first, cloning and then bending 360 degrees to form the shape of a tire.
