    Default Presentation Transitions

The transitions for Steps are all slide in. Is there a way to have an object slide out or move to another part of the screen during the step process?

Dan, use the Help to search for "The Presentation toolbar".
What you need is the Web Transition tab for all the effects to do what you're after.

Thanks for the reply. There are two transition menus, one for the page and one for the objects in the page. The latter only lists slide in/fade in options. There are no options for any object to slide out or move to another part of the page. I suspect I will have to craft this option with a mouse/key triggered animation. I thought there might be another way.

I think we are working from different scripts here.

In XWD11P, I opened a new Wide Presentation, which has one detail on its first page.
I selected one of the embedded graphics.
I right-clicked it and chose Presentation > Move to Step > New Step.
I then changed the Step transition Effect to Slide in from Top.

Correct. I found no option to slide out (off page) or to move to another spot on the page. All options were slide/fade in. There are such options for the entire page, but not for an object stepped in a page. If I figure it out I'll post my results. Thanks.

you can also change the transition of any presentation step via the page and Layer gallery by right clicking on the step name in the gallery and choose layer properties. The layer propeties panel will appear, choose pop up settings and you will see the list of transitions and a slider for speed. Unfortunately it's just the same slide in/fade effects.

You could open a new thread in the Dear Xara forum and suggest some new presentation transitions as a feature request.

Got it now! My fault for misunderstanding what you wanted.

I experimented for a time with a "comet tail" the width of the page grouped with a object and placed so the tail cover a clone of the object that's on the MouseOff layer. All very messy but it "moved" the object off the screen.

I have used CSS3 animations to better effect but not in a Presentation.

LOL! I tried similar and you are so right: messy. Not a deal breaker for me. The presentations feature in D11 is far easier to use than the other programs. IMHO.
