I use photoshop as a base for animations...is there another program better than imageready to use along side photshop for animations. Below is one I did with imageready and photoshop.

That would really just depend on the complexity of your intended animations. IR is pretty compitent at what it does.

I'd say, try using IR for you animations, and wait to see if it falls short of doing something you want to do. Then go looking for another app. But none will have the abilities IR does, being how it's integrated with Photoshop. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

    Hey Dark Horse,

Macromedia Flash. I use it for all of my animation including video work. It allows you to import transparent PNG files and animat them by breaking them apart and creating sprites. it takes some getting used to, but you can actually animate it frame by fram in adobe, and export each movement as a separate graphic, name them in order and flash will put it together. Its worth trying if you already havn't.

Apart from the above tools, you can also make use of ULead GIF Animator, which works much the same way ImageReady does.

You can also use all Photoshop filters in ULead GIF Animator, by specifying the plug-ins folder in the preferences/options.
