Question Problem with Page & Layer Gallery

    Hello,
I already asked this question without answer. Now I want to ask the developers.

    Problem:

    The active layers are non-editable.
I can open active layer. All objects of layer are editable too. But the SOLO, VISIBLE and EDIT symbols are gray and do not respond to mouse clicks.

I tried to repair with CD, but result is same.
    What could it be?

If only reinstallation will help then should I deactivate program?

You probably have the "current layer always visible and editable" option set.

Look in the Options dialog, General tab, General Options section.

    Many thanks, Phil.
But now I do not understand anything.

I uncheck "current layer always visible and editable" option(disable this function). Now the active layer is again editable.
    It should not be conversely?

So it looks in my program now:

    I do not understand it.

When "current layer always visible and editable" is set the current layer is automatically made editable and visible whatever state those icons are in the Page and Layer gallery.

Clicking those icons for the current layer wouldn't do anything because the current layer overrides them and so they are greyed out.

It makes more sense when you have several layers in your document.

    Thank you Phil!

    Now I understand.
Although I personally do not see a situation where I could use it.
    OK. Matter of taste.

It is strange that this setting has been activated without my participation.

The main thing is that it now works.
