    Default Imported "Text" slightly shifted?

    Hello,

Using 3d 7 and Designer pro X. I have in Designer a logo with vector shapes. I want the first part of the logo to be a different color than the second part, so I select the first three shapes, Ctrl-C, switch to 3d-7, Ctrl-V. Back to designer, select the rest, and paste in 3D-7.

In designer all the shapes line up properly and are the same size. However, in 3D-7 the second set of shapes appear to be slightly shifted upwards.... Any ideas on why this is happening, and how to correct?

Well, a belated welcome to TalkGraphics.

Any chance of uploading the Pro file.
I have both apps so might see manage to see what is causing the glitch.

In Xara 3D 7, use the baseline shift under the Text option on the blue pieces; a minus 2% looks correct.

To achieve exact alignment I've found nothing better than the use of sizing pixels.

See this ancient thread and look at the two attached files here.

Totally missed the baseline shift, worked a treat Fred!

Thanks for the sizing pixels tip, Egg!
