Ulead Cool 3d Xmodels

i was using ulead cool 3d 3.5 and i found this thing called X models and i was BLOW away
does anyone know how i could go about making these?????????
or for that matter dowload more examples there really cool

You can get a plug in or convertors, for Max, Maya, Lightwave, etc.... that will export to .X format

i wish i had MAX tho i used it in highschool but can't afford it now

is there a cheeper but about the same 3d program?`
