Auto picture resize?

When I drag a photo into a template to replace the generic picture area (window) is there a way to make the picture auto resize to match the template? it seems when I do it most of the picture is blocked/hidden etc? If it cant auto be done how do I change the picture size to match the window?

Click on the photo with the Fill Tool. An L-shape with arrows on each end will appear. Drag the small squares at the end of the arrows to resize the image. Drag the center control handle (square) to reposition the image.

Another tip. When you drag and drop a photo onto an existing photo, hold down the Shift key before you drop the image.
