You could try copying each page to a new file.

That is a good idea. If it finally comes to a rebuild that is what I will do.

Did you try to create a variant and the operation was aborted or something? All pages (or almost all) are doubled in your document ( see page 60 and above). I have selected page 2 to page 59 and copied them opened a new document and pasted them. That seems to fix the problem.

You are a star, siran. Can you save the new file back into the same folder?

Late last night I began to wonder if creating variants was the problem. I did exactly that and then decided that it was better to start practising on a smaller site. I suspect that hitting the revert button to reverse the operation confused things. It should have worked though.

I don't have a dropbox account, and dropbox won't let me write without it.
By the way. You should remove your file, because if someone is really interested it would be somehow possible to extract your FTP password from it...

I might have. But not in the usual backups folder. I have been right back to the earliest one and they are all post variant. I probalbly have an older set on the external hard drive but that is back on the boat and I won't get there until later on this afternoon. As soon as I have something I will post again.

Hi Theo, I d/l'ed your site, it nearly chocked my poor old laptop. I deleted the duplicate index page and it only deleted the one page. Very odd. I've seen this behavior before tho with someone else file and deleting one index page deleted both, renaming one also renamed the other.

Try this, should only be one index page:
