    Default Import MP4 as loop with no controls

    Hi,

    I wish to import a short MP4 movie (of around 15 to 20 seconds) into a club website (forthcoming attractions etc.) and want it on continuous loop without any controls.

    Is this possible with Xara? I used to have a Flash movie, but want this to now show on phones and tablets.

    I could increase the length of the movie for several loops, but this would be an unnecessary increase in the file size.

    The MP4 file is created in a separate package.

    Kind regards

    Martin

    You could upload it to YouTube and then embed into your project, you would then use a modified version of the YouTube embed code to add it to your site and set it to autoplay and loop e.g. You can read more about the YouTube parameter here;

    https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters

    So for example you could add

    <iframe width="100%" height="100%" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/830ulyLvD60?autoplay=1&loop=1&control=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    This should autoplay and loop the video, showing no controls.

    Alternative you could look at hosting your own videos with FlowPlayer

    Hi Nazf335

    I will give it a try, just seems a rather long way round.

    I was thinking that maybe there is a player that could be loaded into a Placeholder, or adjust the current player that is embedded in the Xara code.

    I could use a .gif but that would be rather tame compared with what I can currently do with Flash - I am not convinced that Flash should be removed from the web; it is a great program and HTML5 does not replace it yet despite the pundits. I have read all the arguments and I think that most of them are simply to excuse greed and laziness on the part of the big companies (must jump off my soapbox!).

    Many thanks
