    Default Uploading website to directory

    Hi All,

Is it possible to specify a directory when publishing your website using FTP in Xara? My Web host has asked me this as I cannot publish my changes anymore. It won't upload and is uploading to a different directory in my Cpanel. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes. The hardest part is finding the path to your root directory.

For example on the majority of sites I use the path equals:

    http://www.mywebsite.com/public_html...fic-directory/

Problem is the hosting companies use 'www' or 'home' or something else in place of 'public_html' and only your host can inform you of the correct path.

Go to Web Properties > Publish > Other Host > Sub-Folder to specify a directory to publish to.

After entering your FTP details, click the "Explore web space" to open the root directory (leave sub-folder field blank) and then you can see what folder you need to publish to.
