I did another water pistol as an illustration here. Both modeling and drawing are a fun "release" and I appreciate the similarities and differences in these two media.

Odd, but intentional, Paul. I was playing with a film damage filter. I guess I was more successful desaturating the original colours, in retrospect.
Here's a very old plug-in that does a better job of distressing an image: Crio-Scitex's PowerTone, from 1994 or so. There's only a custom brown and blue channel to this duotone, although the human eye might think it sees more:
