I forgot to say that Terragen is an incredible 2d landscape generator, and its free for Windows at this time, and hopefully free for Mac when they release it at a later date.Greg check it out I think you would really like it,it is really impressive software for creating landscapes, the best I have ever seen anyway.
Ghi I am using 9.1 to be on the safe side ,I think they have a driver for my 1270 but I am not positive about that .

Hi there, my friends,
I don't have a Mac, but a friend of mine has one, a new one, and she called me from NY for hours and hours...in the middle of the night here. But her enthusiasm made me wide awake, and I feel so happy for her. She was just like a little girl who got a father christmas present.
But to come to the point: she has a prog that allows her to run winbased software on her G4, so if you're interested: it exists. (must be something like Wine for unix and linux systems)
There is also one grrreat soft that is only for Mac (unfortunately for me) and it is called Artmatic. If I'm not mistaken, it is by the "father" of Bryce himself.
www.artmatic.com
and to see some great art made in it:

sigh...

yeah, that's what Olga also told me. She's got a dualboot with OSX and 9.2. She says that she doesn't understand X, and that it will take quite a long time before it will be generally accepted. As it is based on UNIX (does Steve Jobbs feel the breath of Linux in his neck?) lots of things will have to go through a deep change, I guess.
And Draw10...I have 9 and I won't upgrade anymore, although a friend of mine uses 10 daily and never has any problems. I suppose he's lucky that his job is always on the safe side of Draw because I've read other, less pleasant messages.
Still, OSX is really beautiful ,and, as it often happened in the past, the Win imitation, XP ( short for eXtra Problems?) is only a poor imitation. (I use Win2K which is very reliable. Luckily for me. And as I prefer a neutral grey background for everything, I'm well off).
By the way: Olga can even burn DVD's. And, probably because the G5 is already waiting to make his dazzling entry, the G4's prices are going down...Gosh, if I see what they pay in the US and what it costs here in Europe with VAT and income taxes etc etc...we pay at least 50% more.
