Default Using WD11 FTP to upload - verbose mode?

Is there a hidden tool or tweak to have Xara Web Designer 11 P show a verbose mode when uploading? Before anyone starts saying I should use FileZilla or something like that, please, I am just asking because I am lazy and would like to see verbose mode in WD11P for FTP uploads.

If that can't be done, then what are good steps to use in WD11P to export my site to a folder and then use FileZilla. Are there any got-ya hangups?
    TIA.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

Not sure, in fact I am sure I have no idea what "verbose" mode is? Can you explain, without being overly verbose?

There may be a registry setting but no-one's uncovered it.

Export to a local folder, although I do so to my DropBox.
Run locally in all browser types you have. Debug.
    Re-export.
Use fileZilla to public area provided through your ISP.
Check overwrite with latest is set.
    Publish from local folder.
    Job done.

I always export my sites to a folder within the folder of the site I'm working on (so I have a copy of what was uploaded). Ironically, I call the folder "export".

    Or logically.

Thanks for the tips. I was uploading using the WD11P FTP and it shows a white progress bar. I cant see what file its uploading because the window with the bar is not movable. There is no option to see the items uploading (verbose mode) as the word verbose is by definition.

Ah, got it. Is there a benefit to seeing the files as they whiz past?

WD11 had an FTP error on some object uploading and stopped the upload. I restarted the publish with FTP in WD11P and about 35% the same error. I could not see what the object was that it keeps having the error on. After a third try with the WD11P FTP and the same error I was somewhat perplexed... After testing all my pages to preview, one at a time, to pinpoint the issue, I did not find the issue so I exported the web site and uploaded with FileZilla. FileZilla did not have any errors on the first upload. Testing the site after all uploaded files were done and all pages work. So, yes I can use FileZilla but it would be nicer to find out why WD11P cant complete the transfer. I have not looked for a upload log in WD11P. Is there a log for upload in WD11P?

Hmm? Not that I am aware of. There is a file that is created that Xara uses to determine what is new and existing content. Might open a ticket at http://support.xara.com and upload your .web or .xar file for them to look at. This does not seem normal to me or at least I have never experienced this.

    Hi,

Close the program, open the registry and go to:

    64bit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\WebDesignerPremium x64\11\Options\Publish
    32bit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\WebDesignerPremium \11\Options\Publish

Change the key "FTPTrace" from 0 to 1

Download this program and run it: http://live.sysinternals.com/Dbgview.exe

Start Xara and publish. This will show you exactly what is happening when you publish. Most errors are.... Googleable lol

Alternatively as Gary has said, send a ticket and give us your FTP details and we can also try it and see if we can replicate the error. It would give an indication as to what end the problem is happening.

    Thanks
    Rob
