Having a problem with exporting drawing

I've attached a jpeg illustrating the problem with this particular drawing.
I've checked my page size with the size of the overall drawing, that matches up. And the drawing begins at 0, x and 0, y, lower left hand corner, up and to the right. So no problem there.

I checked to see if there were any hidden residuals by viewing the drawing in wireframe, but nothing shows up, and I even did a rectangular grab using the selection tool (arrow) a couple of times on the top and then the bottom of the drawing just to make sure there wasn't anything there that didn't show up on wireframe. Still nothing.

I've done a "select all" with all the layers open and editable. Still nothing.

I tried creating a new blank document of the same size and copying and pasting the drawing with the selection tool so I would only copy and paste the parts I wanted and with nothing being hidden into the new doc. Still the problem persists on export.

I've run out of ideas.

Ron, a three pipe problem, the complete answer to which I cannot deliver for 50 minutes.

Are you using Area to save as a Selection or the entire Page?

I also note the standing gentleman sports a red beard.

Selecting an area only which does not include the white you see above and to the right of the picture.

i hate when that happens
i know with your experience and knowledge of Xara it probably isn't as simple as this but i've gone thru each item one at a time, export the one item as jpeg, entered a few characters for the name just to get to the settings screen and look at the dimensions and the image "as saved" picture in the preview window. then i cancel the "save" and keep going, one at a time, until i find the one causing the issue. most of the time it's been a live effect and a couple times the image clipped oddly.
seems like you're having as much fun with the v11 upgrade as i am with a bunch of control panels that have been damaged (hardware and software) due to a nasty storm that went thru northern michigan

The clipped shape and the live effect could be the problem. I'll monkey with it and see if one of those is it.

Thanks for the offer Eric, but it's 8.2mb in size. So, that wouldn't work.
But I am going to test Mike's theory as I think that may be it. The windows on top of the building have both live effects and clipping, so I think he's got something there.

heh. i've given away a lot of images but absolutely nothing even close to the quality of the stuff that gets shown here, especially by you Ron. i wouldn't post that xar file either cos someone as nefarious as i would snatch that up instantly
