1930s Gas Station

Did this some time back. I apologize if I've already posted it, but in conjunction with my earlier post this week I wanted to share an example of one type of background I could use for a FEW of my car drawings.
After revisiting this file for posting today, I already see some things I'd like to add or change, i.e. adding a ceiling lamp in the office and possibly changing the buildings stone siding with a different type of texture.
I did research the type of vehicles for that decade, the type of gasoline pumps that were common then and the general style of building structure.
The rest is just my limited ability in drawing...

Yea, Bob, when I go back to drawings after a period of time, I ALWAYS see stuff I need/want to change, add or improve in some way.

Wow Ron. You did not need any examples on what to do, you had already knocked it out of the park my friend. Even if you posted this before, this was worth a repost. First time seeing it for me. Very well done Ron. I always enjoy seeing your work.

Reworking toehold stuff is one of the big reasons I like working with Xara. It's so easy to edit your work.

How about a brick building? I think the stone I had before was a little too 1950s.

Thanks Paul. Well, at least from a side view of a car. I like the idea of doing different times of day, too. Thanks for mentioning that.

Thank you Bob. That's a cool bit of art. I like it. Looks pretty busy, art-wise. I mean it looks like he incouded everything but the kitchen sink. But we've all seen stations just like that. And, of course, other stations run by uptight control freaks, like me.
Mine? Well, he's a man of means traveling a country highway. Perhaps I should "dirty up" the place some; make it look more used instead of like it had just opened. Maybe?

BTW, I didn't actually set up a golden triangle, but I wonder ( because of my extremely limited understanding of all things art) if adding the telephone pole and the size of the night sky in relation to the rest of the picture is too much.
I got a comment from another source that the pole should be left out and the sky considerably reduced. You know, from a technical art perspective.
I'm insecure and need someone to hold my hand.
