Can not drag and drop from File Explorer

After upgrade to V11. I can not drag a photo from File Explorer to a web page in Xara Web Designer.

If I open a photo in Firefox and copy the image, I can paste it into a web page.

Any ideas? Running Windows 8.1 64 Bit - Xara Web Designer 11

Perhaps this magic trick works: close the program and, right-clicking on the program icon, select "Run as Administrator". You only have to do this once.

Are you using Webroot Security Anywhere? I have experienced a similar problem and the fix if you are running Webroot is to go into the Webroot main menu, select the gear icon next to Identity Protection, go to Application Protection and make sure that Web Designer 11 is not checked for Deny.

Thanks for the replies though no solution yet.

I am running V11 as administrator and no Webroot products.

Neither .jpg nor .gif files will drag into a web document. I get a black circle cursor indicating that the image can not load.

I can not use Copy/Paste from File Explorer.

I can use Copy/Paste from Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers.

No luck if I shut off "Hi-def images" either.

V10 cut and paste works fine.

Stupid question, but I suppose you have tried rebooting your system, haven't you?

I have created a ticket - reinstall, using alternate Explorers, etc. had no effect. Thanks to all!
