Hi Katd, that's a very interesting concept. How did you get from what looks like a vector drawing to a bitmap or photo (or vice versa).

At the risk of going off-topic here you might want to answer in a new thread

Here's a traditional horseshoe magnet from an unusual angle. Made with the extrude tool and a homemade shadow using the Diffuse Filter.
I used a bitmap of a wooden floor, which I vectorized with Vector Magic, so that I could use the Floor Perspective Mould Preset on it.
I am well aware of the imperfections in this composition, but I'm happy to learn about some that I may have overlooked.

Clever idea Bob. The only thing I see that seems a little off is the perspective on the wood compared to the "magnet" but that is so slight that I could be mistaken. Well you asked or I wouldn't have noticed. After seeing this and Gare's 3D Drop Caps, I deffitely need to think hard to attempt to come up with something worthy. So far I have just stayed. With those I started from the beginning and wwill continue those to the alphabbet ie complete. Hopefully I too can think of something clever to add.

On aside note: To everyone I am trying to come uo with something to replace the Drop Cap challenge when we have completed thealphabet. I will entertain any ideas. Not that I don't have something in mind because I do. PM me if you wish with any ideas and theyy will be considered.

EDIT: Maybe we don't need sometiong to replace thoe Drop Caps And just stick with the scribbles and Xara Xone tutorialss.ahat do you think?

Hi Egg, Made the Beads as a gift, took a picture of it and it inspired the U. Created a vector of the photo.

I made more but not really satisfied. The quilted U was filled with an image I found on the web. I wanted to draw my own but no time, sorry.
